CASE STUDY TWO
Problem facing client: New tooling costs increasing with no clear system for repair.
Solution:
NTR worked with the client to agree a formalised process for tooling repair in order to address the above issues.
Process:
- All tooling is reworked to drawing
- Spares identified and an order placed in advance
before work commences
- Tooling goes through strip down, weld, grinding, milling
and fitting process
- They are then inspected to the specified tolerance and
issued with a certificate
- Tooling is then greased and bagged to avoid corrosion
before being returned
