In June 2011 NTR commenced its second stage KTP with the School of Engineering at Huddersfield University following an outstanding program with Bradford University which completed in 2008.
The program is now well into its second phase and focuses exclusively on the advanced machining of pocketed tooling.
Commenting on the program Craig Naylor, Managing Director of NTR said “the value and insight this work has brought, bodes well for the future of the company”.
He added, “Having invested in HURCO’s latest 5 axis VMX30t CNC machine and ZW CADCAM Software the benefits of the work undertaken over the last 12-months by our KTP associate can now be clearly seen. We are looking forward to progressing this technology to ensure we can offer our customers even better levels of service in the future”.
NTR have been using 3-axis CNC machining for well over 25-years to repair particular styles and makes of cutting tools and 5-axis machine further strengthens this capability.
